Yes. I have done a very considerable amount of research into this matter and have actually contributed to the ST9/11 movement. I cannot discuss particular details in an open forum but I can say that there are some truly patriotic people fighting in an epic battle for releasing the truth about 9/11.

Some theories presented on the internet and in books are very credible (even probable) while others are completely outlandish. In fact, some conspiracy theories are even prompted by DC lobbyist firms hired by the Defense department to create strawman arguments and discredit those who actually have credible claims. The purpose is to confuse the average reader with some really crazy conspiracy theories in order to turn off that person from considering the possibility of actual government complicity.

The wars of today are not so much fought on battlefields anymore as much as they are fought in our minds. Public perception means more than truth in many cases. Like in a criminal trial, the lawyers only have to get the jury to BELIEVE what they want and they win the case. Disinformation campaigns (psyops) have been a military tool since WWI. It is simply the application of the laws of covert warfare brought here onto a domestic level against US citizens to achieve the desired psychological effects. The media is just another battleground to prosecute the war on one's mind and promote whatever story that advances their agenda. The more dependent that we become on what we think is a free and unbiased media for our informational sources, the more enslaved we become to such disinformation campaigns. As an exercise to test this hypothesis, you can review news reported US television, radio or print media and then review the same stories from multiple foreign media sources. The differences are day and night. Perception means everything and when you can throttle the media information you can create almost any justification for government policy that you desire. Depending upon who is running the nation that can be either good or bad.

Does anyone here remember when the Pentagon was caught with their hands in the cookie jar? The Pentagon was actually writing (as well as paying Iraqi news reporters) news stories with a decidely pro-US stance and placing them throughout a large number of supposedly "free and independent" newspapers throughout Iraq. In essence, they were caught in the act of disinformation of the public there and trying to paint the post-invasion scene as upbeat and even cheerful. So, in fact, they manipulated and corrupted the freedom of press that they claim that they were trying to establish and enforce there. The Pentagon was eventually caught and subsequently ordered to cease and desist such activities, as it was an illegal expenditure of US taxpayer money.

A great example of this propaganda campaign is the lead up to the war in Iraq. There were NEVER any credible reports of WMDs still existing in Iraq. The reports cited were both fictious and in other cases, comprised of very questionable assumptions and te=reated as if they were of high confidence. Reports contradicting such false claims were buried. The public was told that Iraq planned to attack the US with WMD. The congress was told just two weeks prior to the authorization of force vote that Saddam had unmanned ariel vehicles on ships heading towards the US eastern seaboard. Keep in mind the anthrax attacks during this time. The anthrax came from a US weapons lab in Fort Detrieck in Maryland. It was OUR anthrax. Anything to ramp up our fear of terrorism and play into an ulterior motyive for a foreign policy of remaking the middle east starting with the overthrow of Iraq. The authorization went through, the US invaded Iraq on 3/18/03 and once the military's foot was in the door, there was no turning back. Iraq is our dependent from this point on because we took a state on the verge of failure and converted it into a failed state. Agendas. It all begins with arab terrorist fears from 9/11. Basically, everything was reverse engineered to create a specific outcome and sacrificing US citizens to do it makes it all the more believeable. What is indisputable is that without 9/11, the invasion of Iraq could NEVER have happened. It had to be Islamic terrorism so that we could target the middle east. South American, European, Russian, African....nowhere else could justify an invasion of Iraq. Get it?

The thing that should raise red flags for the casual reader is that if some of these people are such crackpots, then why are the executive branch, DOD, federal law enforcement and our 12 different federal and military intelligence agencies tapping these people's phone lines, hacking their computers, suggesting threats of incarceration, IRS audits, etc. and why are these entities trying to kill the investigators' professional careers? Furthermore, why are these people receiving death threats and threats of harm to their families if they continue to dig deeper? It is a case of where there is smoke there is fire, trust me on this one.

Anyway, this program on C-SPAN will open your eyes to information that was for the most part suppressed and you WILL ask some very uncomfortable questions about your government's involvement in the events leading up to, on and beyond 9/11. One guy in particular (Col. Bowman) is a retired US Air Force crash investigator with several years of experience in such matters. Regard his comments with careful consideration. I'm not certain but I think that there will even be a brief tutorial by a structural engineer from MIT commenting on the twin towers' collapses after the impacts. Another is a professor of Physics @ Brigham Young in Utah. These people KNOW their stuff and have risked their careeres in the pursuit of truth in this tragedy of 9/11. Many of these people have since been ostracized by certain elements within the government and mainstream media. There are specific reasons for shooting the messenger in some cases, as it serves to distract from the credibility of the message.

Thanks for the heads' up - I think that it is important that WE ALL watch this. Sometimes I worry that I will be seen as somehow 'unamerican' for my questions. But then I remember that the last generation swallowed the Warren Commission Report whole and I want more information on 9/11.

The one concern I have about 9/11 is that, assuming there is more than meets the eye, there has been, until now, I imagine, an absence of any sort of "whistle-blower." Are these experts on C-SPAN the whistle-blowers the 9/11 truth movement has been waiting for?

It depends what you would consider a "whistleblower" I guess. None of the people on the show actually worked in concert with the Bush Administration during 9/11 with the possible exception of Richard Clarke, who isn't a speaker but may be quoted or shown on videoclip. Think about this for a second though......do you really think that someone openly turning whistleblower would live long enough to get media attention? Would you put your family and friends at risk of harm? What really keeps people in line though is not what happens to them but what would happen to their families if they squealed. The preferrable method to out this is to wouldbwork behind the scenes to the best of your abilites to expose such treasonous crimes. Do not underestimate the NSA surveillance phone and internet tapping program that is currently in place right now. It is not REALLY for defense against terrorism but actually a domestic surveillance monitoring tool to keep tabs on political adversaries, dissidents and probably to intimidate leaks from government officials to reporters aka whistleblowers. There are even trojan viruses that can be installed on PCs that keylog and duplicate everything passed along to analysts and direct tapping even into fiber optic networks at some switching offices - right in the cloud- as a datamining tool. Look up Carnivore, Echelon and other programs used or "discarded" by our NSA and other military intelligence services. You'll shit yourself. That's only what we know about today. There are other programs out there though. The Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 means anything but privacy for the end user. The NSA's annual budget is undisclosed to Congress but it dwarfs our annual DOD budget by far. They have all of the newest and neatest techie tools that you could and couldn't possibly imagine.

Consider the witnesses investigated during the Warren Commission's review and susbequent findings of the Kennedy assassination. Oswald was shot and killed before he could even get to court. Ruby was ignored in a Texas jail cell until he suddenly developed "cancer" and died a horrible death. Sworn testimonies were changed and other witnesses completely ignored. There was a decidely pro-US military propaganda campaign in the media against communist Cuba and also against southeast asian communist aspirations. Remember, Oswald was supposedly a communist/marxist even though he was a US Army inteliigence officer, lol. (You see, the Osama bin Laden/Saddam Hussein back then was the USSR and communism. We simply substitute the nation and form of government to suit our needs to prosecute a political agenda over the years). Over 300 witnesses in the Kennedy assassination investigation met with "sudden heart attacks" and single car accidents. Then there were the overdoses and suicides....if the murder of a sitting US president can be silenced don't you think that 9/11 could be too? There is a difference between the two however. That is the readily availability of high quality videorecorders. If such attacks happened 30 years ago there would only be local movements to get the truth out. Since the WTC south tower was hit AFTER the media was already on the scene, there can be no question that aircraft struck the WTC towers. Everyone saw it happen. This gives much needed weight to the rest of the story even if it is fictitious. If the towers remained standing there would probably be much less dissention but since they are own video collapsing (the psyops moneyshot for the world to see), that has also been its Achilles Heel. The collapses do not follow the laws of physics and the conservation of motion. This will be pointed out for all to see in the upcoming program.

Consider some of these things when attempting to understand the conspiracy behind 9/11: The evidence of the structural steel was shipped off to asia on barges to be destroyed before metallurgy tests could be conducted, which is a felony to destroy crime scene evidence of a murder scene. Various construction layouts of the WTC buildings were altered in the FEMA report. I have seen the original floorplans for comparison. The determined efforts by the White House to resist opening an inquiry into the events leading up to and on 9/11 for over a full year. The failure to testify under oath by Cheney and Bush, much less in front of the full 9/11 Commission. Only the co-Chairs were allowed to query them and no notes were allowed to be taken. The absurd lack of air defense coverage on 9/11 in which Cheney & Rumsfeld ordered wargames over northwest Canada on that day leaving only 14 interceptor/fighter aircraft to defend the entire continental US. Why was the commander of NORAD told to stand down and command assumed by Cheney on the morning of 9/11 PRIOR to the attacks? Why are the FBI withholding evidence that could conclusively prove that aircraft actually struck the Pentagon? There are several videotapes confiscated from DOT cameras, the Sheraton National hotel rooftop camera, gas station video surveillance, ect. Aircraft parts with designated serial numbers are not released or allowed for inspection. A plane could melt after striking the Pentagon leaving no luggage, aircraft engines or identifying features but fragile human DNA could be uncovered for a DOD autopsy which identified all but something like 1 or 2 victims? Oh, and therre were no indications of the hijackers either. The list goes on and on and on....legitimate questions that could easily be cleared up by the government but are ignored or suppressed.

The fact that many questions go unanswered and the federal law enforcement refuses to divulge information or even honor the simplest of FOIA requests as required by federal law. These things should create concern for the transparency of our government. If you have any question concerning these events then you should watch this program. Something to keep in mind.....when the towers fell were you suprised? Why or why not? Trust your instincts and first iimpressions. Those buildings had plenty of help. There are hundreds of NYC police, firefighters, port authority workers and survivors that saw felt and heard explosions that day that were no where near the impact zones. I can even provide text from interviews conducted the following day with first responders reporting as much- captains,. lieutenants, Chiefs and others reported bombs going off on ground level, basement and subbasement floors just prior to collapses. Only this past year had the New York Times won a court case to gain access to these interviews that Guiliani and Bloomberg tried so hard to supress. We witnessed the largest murder ever on US soil that day on live TV. We deserve some answers and so do the survivors' families.

I saw closer to the end of it, I was a little put off when one of the questions posed was about a possible collapse of government and subsequent power vacuum after their role in 9/11 is revealed, and the moderator responded that government has already collapsed, and something else along those lines.

From what I saw, which isn't much, it looked like an unfortunate coming-together of ultra-left wing, bent-on-revolution ideas, and a decent, honest academic inquiry into 9/11. I'll catch the rest of it on a rerun

Even though they generously alloted time for part of the seminar, C-SPAN only provided time enough for the neo-conservative links to 9/11 but the actual conference lasted 3 days and the day PRIOR to what was shown was focused solely on forensic and visual-audio evidence. As you may remember, the program series on C-SPAN which hosted this seminar is called "American Perspectives" which generally focuses upon opinions of various situations or events in our world today. A forensic investigation would need to be presented in a different program format. Also, near the end of the TV time allotted, they were trying to cram some important stuff in before time ran out. This was solely for the TV audience, however the seminar continued on after the C-SPAN footage was filmed.

(hint- something that I had personally worked on with regard to the 9/11 investigation was mentioned by Prof. Fetzer in his comments. It was somehat fulfilling to have a contribution recognized on that level.)
