Ya I hadnt realised that those F-1 cars could blow past a Ferrari like that. I knew they were fast but damn, it made that ferrari look like it was standing still.

F-1's rule the roost - I watched them in Michigan last week and I think one afternoon their average speed was somewhere in the 220's - and they accelarate to that in no time flat...

They are also awesome to watch just for the sheer awe factor in the sense that when/if they touch wheels someone/everyone is going on a pretty long trip through the air....

Can you imagine driving one of those things? It would probably scare the shit outta ya. I'd definitely kill myself. Makes me appreciate just how talented those drivers are. Did you see the Fiat and even the Ferrari drifting around some of the corners? The Formula 1 car didn't even budge.

The power to weight ratio of an F1 is unreal. Depending on the engine they range from 700-1000hp and weigh under 1000lbs (they actually have to add ballasts for weight to bring them to about 1300lbs which is the minimum for regs). That's insane!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they don't make production cars that get up to 300mph. Still, 300kph is about 186mph.....on a highway with other cars around, yeah, that's insane.
