Do you workout a few hours before bedtime? Do you shower before going to bed?(this helps a lot)...I would also add with the Valerian some GABA link that's sold on the net...It's great for sleep and not addictive...It also helps release GH level within the body, which for us is good.

I know you don't take other drugs...But start off with 1000mgs a night and I would not go over 1500mgs MAYBE 2000mgs(and that would be a lot)....Do you have a speedy mind? Always thinking or worrying about shit? Do you find yourself always thinking about numbers or adding shit in your head?

How about, do you find yourself always wanting to fix something that is not broken?(not literally, just a saying)...I ask these question because I have gone through a lot of counseling, reading, meds, doctor visits, you name it....For sleeping problems and depression...I'm almost at 100% right now...Sometimes I do find myself not sleeping well...I try to read books on medications and it's effects, this makes me sleep better.

They always say to read books that will excercise your mind and eyes before bed, it works.

My doc stated my "night worries" could be fixed with Paxil. I tried the paxil for a couple of months, it was a low dose of 20mg a day. That stuff made me a limp noodle. That is a side effect I will not tolerate. What did your doc say the problem with your speedy mind at night?

And btw, I have been taking v root for the past month, think I am going to start taking some during the middle of the day if I get all worked up, seems to have good reports as a natural anti-anxiety herb.

I've had the assistance of anti-d's a few times and the sedated/ 'limp noodle' feeling has always been the reason that I stopped taking them.

Yeah that is a terrible side effect.

I did just the vroot last night. Although I didn't fall asleep as easy as with the melatonin, I did wake up better. I will do just the vroot again for the next couple nights to really give it a test.

So, how do you calm yourself down at night and what do you do to help your mind stop racing?

Yesterday we booked a cruise for this December and my wife was up at 3:00 this morning calling the cruise line asking if it was OK that we listed her using her married name when her passport still has her maiden name on it. No joke. She doesn't want to have to pay for another passport when she can wait 3 years for her old one to expire and then she has to pay for a new one then anyway. She was up all night obsessing over that and a couple of other things. The $30 for a new passport with her married name on it isn't worth losing a night's sleep over.
