  • Cable TV Connection Problem

A tv in the office at school has a cable connection running off a splitter. In the mornings there is a lot of interferance, but as the day goes on the signal gets better. What could cause this?

Could be early morning moisture affecting the the cable soewhere aside from the splitter location. Do you notice the same thing when it rains?

Rain, what's that :). I'll pay attention next time it rains and see.

That was my first thought as well. Is it only when you turn it on in the morning? How old is the splitter? How old is the cable? Older cables probably have a harder time deciphering information than the new stuff.

The cables and splitter are new.

Like BLM said then....must be moisture getting in somewhere.

Maybe condensation? And as the day heats up it evaporates? Maybe cooler temperatures affect it and as it warms up it gets better.
