I will admit there could have been a better way to ask him, but I didn't want my questions to get confused. I stated it as I did because at the time it seemed clear and straight forward. But as we all know, no matter how hard we try to express our tone, it is very difficult. As for the PM, you over estimate the use of it when contacting new members about there posting. I can't count how many times I PM someone and they either never read it or they read and I never hear anything back. No I didn't PM TheGame, but I was not the only one (members included) that were confused by his style of posting. So I decided to make it a public adress.

You have to admit he's right. Facts are facts. If what's he's posting is correct and helpful or insightful, what's the problem? USE YOUR MINDS!!!!! Evaluate the guy based on WHAT he posts, not on HOW he posts. It's disappointing when the guy's just excited to start contributing to the board and some of our members call him out as a trouble maker and a tool because he doesn't follow proper "board etiquette" as established by the self-proclaimed elitists among us. This whole thing is a bit over the top and as I've said before, it's starting to ruin the atmosphere of this board. If this is a place to share information and ideas than why do you take issue with those who don't measure up to your "standards"? Take it for what it's worth.

There are those who are quick to criticize others and accuse them of being close-minded and over-opinionated, but you have to see that this guy was just ridden out of town on a rail based on nothing more than the opinion of those same people. Use whatever justification you wish, in the end, that's what happened and it wasn't right.

Disclaimer - this is NOT aimed at any one person or group of person's in particular BUT I have an opinion on all of this crap too AND...

I've read just about enough of this bullshit - this is Bouncer's board and he employs whoever in the hell he wants to employ - they answer to him - only He can say what is and isn't wrong with the board and actually DO something about it - you can bitch all you want but that in itself is what is "bringing down" the board - everyone makes mistakes and I'm sure he knows this - he's not a twelve year old who runs to his administrator to tattle on others for their mistakes/oversights/shortcomings and he doesn't tolerate whining simply because someone doesn't agree with someone else...

All of this talk about the board going "downhill" because of a few instances like this are atrocious - true - some really great guys/girls left us over the course of time but it doesn't change the fact that this is not YOUR board - it is Bouncer's board and if he has a problem with the way things are run then I am 100% positive he will let the appropiate people know that they've fucked up and he won't allow it to continue - Bouncer listens to his members and he tries to cater to their wants and desires but to say that the "board is coming down" is petty and childish - if it weren't for his regime you wouldn't have the ability to voice your concerns let alone learn great information on "The Fastest Growing Fitness Site on the Net"....

As for this being "America" and everyone being entitled to their own opinions and we should all respect each other etc blah blah blah - I understand and to an extremely great extent I agree - however - if I owned a gym and you pissed me off I would boot your ass out just because I could - if you said something I didn't like and it offended me or others in my vicinity you would be gone in a heartbeat - of course I would listen to my mature and responsible members and strive to make their experience in my facility the best that it could be but I damn sure know that I wouldn't be able to please everyone - with that said - there are some folks around here that shoot off their mouths just because they have internet hard ons and yet they're still here - THAT right there should say something for the character of this board, it's owner and it's mods - this board is a LOT better off because of the very people that built it into what is was, is and will become......

So - everyone just get over themselves - lighten up and let's get back to being the happy little schoolgirls we all know we want to be ;)....

Babyblues, it wasn't just about him posting the articles. It was also about his self claim of fame and then telling people to check out his site. We don't normally allow any kind of self promotion unless pre-approoved by Bouncer. Now this was kind of in the grey area so we decided to watch it for a bit. But he never joined in any discussion by answering questions or just chating. He just kept posting articles. Do you see how this comes across? So I decided to ask him straight forward and tell him why I was asking. If there was ever a situation where a member here was involved in a scam, it does reflect on us. If he is trying to get free advertisement for his site, it's not fair for the sponsors who pay to advertise here. There is a lot to it and maybe the members don't know every bit, but they also don't always need to either. I already said the way I asked the question was wrong, but I also thought if I was subtle it would look like a witch hunt. Maybe there was no right way to ask it. But I have learned that the way I did was not right.
