I don't know if it was reported where you live Shibby, but apperently the new Elmo doll had people fighting over it in Target in Tampa over the weekend and one guy threatened to kill one of the other buyers because he didn't get one.

I wouldn't say it is a marketing trick. Every time something new with Elmo comes out, there are people waiting to buy it. Wanna make some money...buy a bunch of those things and sell them on Ebay.
