  • Need help with tattoo

I keep saying… This is my last tattoo!! But I’m pretty sure this will be my last. :D The guy that usually does my work for some reason is not returning anyone’s calls right now. I have no idea what his problem is but it has been 4 months since I have heard back. He does incredible work and I’m really reluctant to go anywhere else but I want to start looking elsewhere. Anyone know of any artists they would recommend? I’m willing to fly within the US to get one done. I’m looking for an exceptional artist not your local tattoo shop down the street. I’ve been trying to search the internet but I’m not really finding what I’m looking for. Any help is appreciated.

I have a cross on my back and I want to get it larger (my entire back). I want the cross to look like it was chiseled out of stone with an old, gothic, cracked stone background. Very hard to explain. No color just grey but I want lots of shading and detail.

find someone from prison always good black and gray tats or in LA and sometimes miami is kat von D she throws down very good realistic black and gray tats but pricey and its appointment only. 2-3 month wait. good luck.

I've never been impressed with any of H&H's work. Kat Von D is an incredible artist - black & white is her specialty...

I agree. I'm sure if any of them took their time on a specific piece of work it would be great. But the ones I see on the show are rarely impressive. Some of them have really shitty lines too.

Her specialty is portrait tatts. I would say Ami or Garver would do a better job on the crosses.

Thanks - I've seen every episode......

Her specialty is portraits and black & white - she does not like color.

I've been seriously thinking about going down and having her do a portrait of my dad for me. Her portait tatts are phenomenal.

Can you blame her though? All the damn tan f'ers want colors to stand out, but the won't. That one old woman that has the hat business, looked like a damn old worn out brown shoe, and she was upset when the damn colors didn't look right.

That lady was the biggest pain in the ass. That's a perfect example of why Kat dislikes color - she wasn't happy with that tattoo either.

Her portrait tats are worth every penny.

Did you see the Mary and Jesus painting she did the other day? Wow...
