  • Finished 2 BB shows

These are pictures from first show on 9/23/06.

I did not carb deplete / load, or cut water, as my next show was the next week.

I weighted in at 212 lbs.
I won heavyweight and overall. It was a Level 2 show

    second show pics

This show was a Level 4.
I finished 3rd in heavyweight class, and was very happy.

I did deplete / load, and cut water and weight was downm from 212 lbs to 200 lbs in 1 week.

I think I was harder and more defined, but I also think that I lost some of my mass in my legs.

I found out what I need to work on in the off season if I want to compete at a higher level.

      More mass in general
More mass on quads , outer sweep needs work.
better thivkness front to back, and lower back still needs some work.

This was the hardest thing that I ever did.

I started dieting hard 15 weeks out, started at 235-240 lbs.

I did realize that I have the fortitude to stick to a diet and get shreaded. Judges at both shows mentioned that I was the best conditioned athlete in the building.

Anyway wanted to share my success with you guys.

I am now going to start planning for next year.

Thanks for asking. My daughter will be 3 in Dec and she is still wonderfull. We are planning a long weekend at Disney for her birthday weekend to see princesses.

My little boy ie 8 months, and is the happiest baby I have ever seen (Daughter was a pistle until she turned 1.)

Unfortunatly there was no magic to the diet. I started 12 weeks out with protein a constant 400 plus g, started carbs in the 350g range and kept fat around 20%. Each week or two I would lower carbs until they were around 200-225g the last couple of weeks.

I used flax oil, nat peanutbutter, fats from meat and ate salmon on a regular basis for fat sources

Proteins from tipical sources (I did have the ultimate hookup) The owner of the local Outback steakhouse would cook up 6 chicken breasts, 2 filets, and 1 salmon steak 2x per week and charge me his cost. He did not add oil or butter to anything. It saved me the hours of prepwork on the cooking.

Carbs from: sweet potato, brown rice, and oatmeal

If you really want a detailed look at how I kind of planned this I can send you a copy of my spreadsheat. I am a bit anal and keep a record of everything I ate plus periodic measurements and goals.

Let me know an email addy if you want to look at it.

The diet was the hardest thing that I have ever done.
