Philly @ Buffalo (Buffalo -3)

The Eagles had a week off to contemplate their 0-2 start and I expect them to bounce back in fine fashion against a Buffalo team that was exposed by Miami last Sunday night. The Bills are certainly solid defensively this year, allowing only 4.3 yards per play (to teams that average a combined 4.7 yppl on offense), but the offense is too one-dimensional to work well against a good defensive team. Buffalo has averaged a paltry 2.4 ypr this season, which has kept them to a mediocre 4.9 yards per play (against teams that allow 5.0 yppl) despite a good pass attack. Philadelphia’s offensive woes are well documented (just 10 points in two games), but they’ve faced the league’s best defense in Tampa Bay and pretty solid Patriots’ stop unit. The Eagles are certainly below average offensively, but there 4.0 yards per play average doesn’t look so bad when you consider they’ve faced two teams that combine to allow just 4.2 yppl on defense for the season. The week off should help work out some of the offensive kinks and Andy Reid’s team is 15-4-1 ATS in games after a loss, including 4-0 ATS after a bye week and 12-1-1 ATS when not favored by more than 3 points. The Eagles are also 17-5-2 ATS as an underdog in recent years and they qualify in a solid 171-86-7 ATS statistical match-up indicator that was 3-0 last week. The Eagles are due for a good effort and Miami gave them the defensive blueprint for shutting down Buffalo’s attack. However, injuries to Eagles’ CB Bobby Taylor and All-Pro S Brian Dawkins is a concern against the Bills pass attack, so I will pass on making Philly a Best Bet.

I disagree Hitman, Henry is aching....that team is worthless without a solid running game. I dont believe in Sammy Morris at all...The Eagles are coming off the bye week, I think Reid is a great coach, will have the guys raring to go....McNabb has gone back to the basics, and is very improved...and I think the best thing for this team is to get away from home....Again, Ill say..Eagles outright ;)

You were right Gong...didn't think they leaned that heavily on Henry to make that offense work...but they were nothing without him.
