Thursday Night Game: West Virginia @ Louisville

Louisville has had this game circled on the calendar for over a year. They were up 24-7 LY at West VA in the 4th quarter and the game got away from them (in OT) with some questionable calls by the refs helping WVU.

Louisville has the more balanced offense, the better defense and better size. And they are at home.

I have much respect for this talented WVU team. Their team speed is awesome and running attack one of the best on the country. I think they have some holes on defense that Louisville will expose. Lousville wide receivers have some size advantages that Brohm will take advantage of. Expect Mario Urrutia to have a huge day and Louisville will ride Brohm's arm to the victory and the cover. Louisville's running attack is quite solid with the tandem of Stripling and Smith (it would be great to have Bush in the lineup but broken leg in opener sadly ended the season as we all know).

    Louisville -1

    Friday nite game:

AIR FORCE FALCONS @ ARMY BLACK KNIGHTS >>>> UNDER 48
    Air Force (3-4, 3-2 MWC) at Army (3-6, 2-2 home) @ 8:00 PM. EST. *ESPN2

FACTS & STATS: Site: Michie Stadium (40,000) -- West Point, New York. Television: ESPN2. Home Record: Air Force 2-2, Army 2-2. Away Record: Air Force 1-2, Army 1-4. Neutral Record: Air Force 0-0, Army 0-0. Conference Record: Air Force 3-2, Army 0-0. Series Record: Air Force leads, 26-13-1.
GAME NOTES: In a service academy showdown, the Army Black Knights play host to the Air Force Falcons on Friday night at Michie Stadium. The Falcons come into this matchup losers of two straight and three of their last four matchups. Last week Air Force suffered a tough 33-14 setback to BYU at home. Air Force is currently 3-2 inside Mountain West Conference action and will need to win its three remaining league matchups if the team wants a shot at the MWC title. Next up for the Falcons is a home contest against the nationally-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. As for the Black Knights, they have lost three consecutive games, including a 42-28 loss to Tulane last Saturday. If Army is victorious, it would mark its first back-to-back wins over Air Force since the 1977-78 season. With regard to the all-time series, the Falcons have dominated Army over the years and currently hold a 26-13-1 advantage. Air Force has won 15 of the last 17 meetings, however, it was the Black Knights who posted a 27-24 victory last year over the Falcons.

The Black Knights have the luxury of playing in front of their home crowd, so that should help Army keep the game close. However, look for the Falcons to use their powerful rushing attack the entire contest against the very weak run- stopping defense that Army possesses.

    Head to Head:
    • Falcons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Army.
    • Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
    • Road team is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
