Great game...fuck the BCS. I know where you're coming from Shibby & an arguement can be made for any 1 loss team to play in the championship, but I can't stand the thought of undefeated teams being left out.

Rutgers will most likely lose one of their 3 remaining games...most likely West by god Virginia, but what a travesty it will be if they go undefeated and don't play in the championship game because WV or Louisville would've been in the championship game if they'd been undefeated.

You'll probably see 6 - 8 1 loss teams...OSU/Michigan, Texas, Auburn/Florida, USC/Notre Dame, California. Hopefully, this will start making some people think about the playoff scenario.

Anyway, congratulations Rutgers...Schiano called a hell of a game and made great adjustments all night long. I'm betting he'll be at Miami next year.

I don't like seeing and undefeated team being getting the shaft either. But I am going to be exited at Texas' chance now :). I think it will come down to how well Texas (against Nebraska) and Florida (against Auburn) do in there confrence championship games. Of course the SEC has the edge in votes.

That just goes to show you how weak the Big East really is. I mean, come on. RUTGERS!!!! They've got as much talent as the Gators PRACTICE SQUAD. There are only four conferences that have the right to demand a place in the national championship game if they run the table ... SEC, Big 12, Big 10 and Pac 10. All other conferences should be required to stack their out of conference schedule AND run the table to be considered.

The tier 2 and 3 conferences should take a page from Notre Dame's book and consistently stacks their schedules.

You must be against the ACC because they belong in that group moreso than a couple you named. The ACC is having a down year, but Miami, FSU, & VPI are annually good teams and have a lot of potential every year. BC, GT, & Clemson aren't cupcakes.

Pac 10 sucks IMO...who do they have outside of USC that amounts to anything? That is just a fun & gun conference...think Mountain West on anabolic enhancers.
Big 12 ain't that great either...UT, Nebraska, & Oklahoma...maybe A&M are really good but the rest are weak.

Anyway, I agree with you that all teams should attempt to play stronger OOC schedules.

My mistake ... throw the ACC in that group of tier 1 conferences.

I absolutely agree with you re: the Pac 10.
