Im going to try to get 2 that night but its not looking good, their is a major cold front coming (I nearly froze last year), and I have read the store is only getting 20 ps3. Last year they got like 60 xbox 360's and I was number 47, I got their at around 8:00pm or so, so im assuming the line starts at 5:00 or 6:00pm this year
Im still going to try to get it though
Yuck! I didn't realize you waited THAT early - I thought it was more like early, early morning....
A radio station here in Austin had one that was delivered by a rep this morning. The deal was that he would give it to one of the personalities on the show if he would kiss another guy just on the lips.
The guy couldn't bring himself to do it, so they had to take it outside and destroy it. The main host said they would just give it away but because it was a promotional item they would get in big trouble if they did, so make it 399,999 PS3's in the US.
I've read that most game designers haven't even been able to take advantage of the better graphics and video so most games will look much similar to those from the ps2
Hmm - I've read different...
Another plus - you'll be able to watch blu-ray dvd's and not have to go buy the dvd player...
When are they going to develop a gaming system that can just be upgraded without buying all new hardware? Kind of like a simplified version of a PC dedicated only to gaming.

:hmmm: Let me stop what I'm doing and jump right on that. :P Good question though...

Don't believe that crap Bro. Radio stations give away promotional stuff ALL the time. Somebody took that thing home.
Where have you read different? Its pretty well known that the PS3 is so complex that game designers are having a tough time designing games for the PS3. Im sure they will get better at it as time goes on but at the moment it is no easy task.
I agree...PS3 is more complicated...I just hope mine is there on Friday.
If you get it on Friday, I would think about selling it. They should be going for $1500-$2000 on eBay. You stand to make a grand or more on the damn thing. I would sell it and then wait until after Christmas when there is plenty of PS3's and buy it then.
I thought about that as well..Just like every other shit that comes out on the market during the holidays...It's always expensive and give it about 6 months, it'll drop down a bit...I really want the damn thing though...Yes another grand would be nice...But at the sametime, is it worth me having my fun right now:D:D I guess everyone will you're a dumb fuck for not selling it and making another grand$$$But :fufool:I want to play damn it:D
Well the thing is, right now, there really isnt that many games to play on it. Fall of Man is supposed to be the only game worth a damn right now. There will be alot more games comming out over the next few months but there isn't much now. Also, think about this. Most of the Xbox 360's in the first lot that came out before Christmas were defective. They over heated and scratched disks. Just something to think about. If it were me. I would sell it and buy it after Christmas.

If the hardware is defective, then you have a very good point. Fortunately, from a software standpoint, firmware & software updates will be downloadable from the web. Eventually, PS & PS2 games will function properly once software updates are made available for PS3. XBox faced similar operating problems when it was initially launched.
Also, scratched disks may soon be a thing of the past. More and more games will be downloaded from the web vs. purchased in a brick and mortar store. I know I know...sometimes technology doesn't seem as great as doing things the old fashioned way.

true true about the blu-ray, and considering blu-rays are in the 1k range, it's a heck of a deal.
the graphics thing i read in wired magazine, they said xbox 360 game designers are only now catching up? i dunno, i'm the furthest from being an expert there can be.
