Personal fouls, bad coaching (going for 4 & 1 at your own 30), & just about every other facet of the game didn't help either. I believe the 4th & 1 gamble and then the fumble that was returned to the 2 were what put the game out of reach.

Without question. I was very surprised with the loose zone defense OSU played. I realize that UF has a lot of speed at receiver, but when you play a 50 yd deep zone it is pretty easy to mind the seems 20 yards down the field.Originally posted by SonofBonePersonal fouls, bad coaching (going for 4 & 1 at your own 30), & just about every other facet of the game didn't help either. Florida had all the right calls and OSU couldn't counter. I think the most crucial aspect of the game, aside form the bonehead 4th down call, was the fact that the UF DE's could get to Smith at will. He was rushed and pressured on damn near every play. Very uncharacteristic of him.
Do you guuys think it was just a combination of great play by UF and lack there of by OSU this game or do you think that OSU was exposed for being a team that is great in a weak conference? It sort of makes there numbers a little skewed if you look at their competition. Not that they aren't a good team, but maybe the teams they played helped them, at least in the stat book, look a little better than they were.?

I'm so sick of this OSU bullshit. Did Notre Dame meltdown against LSU? Did Michigan meltdown against USC? No, they got beat by a better team with more talent and better execution. JUST LIKE OSU. You couldn't block our defensive lineman because we blitz often and are bigger and quicker than OSU. When OSU did get some protection, our secondary had your receivers blanketed.Originally posted by babybluesNo doubt Floriday played great, but that was just a complete meltdown by OSU. God, they looked like they couldn't tell their ass from a hole in the ground. Both on offense and defense. Florida played well, but come on now. I mean, Florida's defense was manhandling OSU's offensive line on every play. Every damn play. A good d-line is going to get to your quarterback and knock him around a bit, but not on every play. That's just poor execution by OSU's offensive line. And OSU's defense had no answer at all. A disappointing game. Plus I fuckin hate the Florida Gay-tors anyway. :D
OSU was completely overhyped. Take a look at our respective schedules. The only two teams OSU played were Texas and Michigan. Texas was a mediocre (at best) team this year. Michigan put up a boatload of points on OSU, and then couldn't score at all on USC. OSU's defense is average, at best. UF played tough teams, week in and week out.l
OSU played a team with better talent and was out0-coached and out-executed. Meltdown? no. Complete domination by UF.
Welcome to SEC football, ladies.

LSU is the 2nd best team in the country. I said all weekend that I would rather play OSU than play LSU again.Originally posted by grnmchnAgreed. I still can't (I guess I can) believe they don't have Boise State ranked higher. I mean, come on, they finally got the BCS game they wanted and they took care of business. I think they should have been ranked ahead of USC. An d even though I'm an SEC fan, possibly ahead of LSU.

Maybe you're right. Maybe not. We'll never know until they change the dumb ass BCS system. And just for the record, if you haven't noticed, I am a huge SEC fan. Went to AU and live in AL. You don't have to confince me of the talent on any SEC team. I know how good LSU was this year and typically are every year.Originally posted by Curls4dGirlsLSU is the 2nd best team in the country. I'm not sure that if you could hear it on TV or not, but several times during the domination the entire Gator section did the "SEC! SEC! SEC!" chant. That's what I love abou the SEC, we're not only proud of our team, but also our entire conference.Originally posted by grnmchnAnd just for the record, if you haven't noticed, I am a huge SEC fan. Is it a fucking crime to route for the team I choose? Of course I don't agree that OSU is the vastly inferior team. I'm a fan for chrissake. And of course you like to think that the Gators "completely dominated". You're an FU fan. I'm just a fan routing for OSU. I went to school in Ohio for a while, so yes, I am a fan. And I'll route for them no matter what because that's what fans do. And I'll defend their ranking because that's what fans do. Christ!!!Originally posted by blmThank you! Perfect rebuttal.
