After I boil my eggs and scoop the yolk out and eat my whites, I sometimes feel like I'm wasting too much throwing out all that extra egg. I was just wondering if it is ok and healthy to give my two german shepards the yolks after I'm done???

Don't most people eat a couple of yolks? Same concept - you give the dog one or two yolks because it's good for them - not 10 or 12 at a time....Originally posted by ROCKETW19im confused if your not gonna eat it why would you give it to your dog? im guessing you probably dont want the cholesterol(sp?) and extra calories? if anything give you dog some egg whites also.

I try and mix up a few different items throughout the week, with my dogs food. Usually at night I'll add a few spoonfuls of low fat cottage cheese. In the mornings I'll crack an egg or two over his dry food. I also mix in hamburger meet, venison, etc. It really all depends on the dog you have, what they can ingest, and what you do with it. But regardless, these things are all items we all try and eat for health. Same concept with my dog. But never junk food and never from the table.
