- NM played a tougher schedule by any metric....but it is pretty close
- NM off line has been a train wreck all yr allowing 42 sacks
- NM QB situation is still uncertain; Whoever practices the best in the coming days will start but I suspect we will see both during the game - Sr Nelson and redshirt freshman Porterie who won his first 3 starts all in comeback fashion....Whatever happens at QB - they only complete 52% of their passes
- SJ St QB Tafralis ranks 16th in passing efficiency completing almost 2/3 of his passes and throwing 18 td vs 7 int...They have a decent running game with a RB (Yonus Davis) coming close to 1000 yds on the season while hitting at 6.3 yds a pop
- NM should have worse field position over the course of the game; They have no return game to speak of; SJ St is 19th in net punting and 6th in KO coverage
- slight edge to NM in place kicking
- NM essentially playing a home game / SJSU was ok on the road this yr
