Citgo commercials

Has anyone seen these, where heating is being offered at 40% less by Citgo and Venezuela? Does anyone have any insight behind these commercials, besides the fact that Venezuela hates us.

It is just Chavez trying to rub it in to Bush, his archenemy.... Chavez is a socialist and he is trying to make a symbolic point that he can take care of America's disadvantaged or poor better than Bush can, plus scoring some points for his view of governance (socialism) vs. the capitalist American system.

I also am not quite sure who you are referring to when you say that Chavez hates "us." He clearly can't stand Bush and American foreign policy, but I have seen no evidence that he hates Americans in general. I am no big fan of Chavez but he is an opportunistic politician and his motives are basically the same as those of any other politician.

I say hates us, because he has meetings with Iran and syria and some others that want to see america destroyed.

He just does it to tweak Bush - the real problem I have is with our government which reacts every time that pipsqueak does something. His shenanigans should be beneath us but it doesn't seem to be, so he continues doing it.
