Lutter's first attempt at making weight was 187 pounds, and after two hours he was only able to lose a half-pound. wish I'd of seen this thread earlier, can't get ppv on ufc or pride in uk (bummer), I will have to wait until sunday night to see it, bravo channel buy it second hand from spike, but it will be free then.
I'm real suprised Lutter couldn't make weight and I thought there was like a 1lv tolerence anyway. Maybe there's more to it. If he beats Anderson it certainly won't be the end of his carear, but it must be tough to get motivated now.
B, Baroni was awsome to watch, he fights in pride now. I think he was his own worse enemy in ufc because he used to talk smack all the time people loved to see him get beat and I think alot of the fighters disliked him because he used to be a bodybuilder, they just automatically think 'beach muscles' means bullshit.
He did have good hands but with all that fast twitch muscle would burn out quick, but when he did connect he was as lethal as chuck liddel, maybe more.
I can't wait to see how the new commers shape up.
One guy I miss but he's too old now is Tank Abbot, that guy had a punch and although always a bit over weight proved that guys who are strong in the gym could also be lethal in the ring and not always slow. That dude could bench 500lb for reps and upright row with like 300lb. Check it out on you tube.
Looking forward to tommorrow though, gonna have to stay off the net so I don't ruin it for myself.

All the major fights went pretty much as expected...as far as the victors. I was hoping for more dramatic wins though.
Travis Lutter is a turd! Damn shame he didn't get brutally knocked out. But he did get beat at his own game...on the ground.

Anderson Silva's win was a shambles, there are supposed to be no downward strikes with thye elbow, he should have been dq'd. Travis Luttor was demoralised befor he started but shown he could take down Silva at will, and that triangle didn't win the fight Lutter was breathing fine he pointed to the top of his head to indicate to the ref bout the elbow strikes and then tapped cos the ref did nout!
