scratch question

i have a 46 inch samsung dlp slim model hl-s4676s - my daughter scratched the screen last night -

is there a way to fix it ? i am in middle of diet so my wife had to keep me from killing my poor daughter -

she is staying away from dad so far today - bad enough waiting for someone to come and figure out why i am getting a checkerboard effect and half a screen when i turn on the fucking thing -

bought back in late october - love it when it works - but not happy about the checker problem - and well kids r kids - so it was an accident - i can go on and on and on lol

any ideas if it can be fixed - the scratch

Your going to need to call Samsung and have them send a guy out. They will probably need to replace the screen. As for the checkerboard thing, sounds like a problem with the mirrors in the set, they may need to replace something on that end also. The bad news is that it will probly cost about 800$-1000$ to get it all fixed.

Checkering may also be th incoming signal from the cable provider. Especially if it's a random thing. However, if you have other tv's in the house and you never notice anyting wrong w/the picture then it's definitely your dlp. If you got it in Oct it shouldn't cost you a dime to get repaired, it should still be warrantied.
