Very true. No powercommander? I've been eyeing some carbon fiber rims. I've heard they drastically change the ride due to their light rotating mass.Originally posted by blmNothing major for awhile. The gsxr's are ready to race straight from the crate for the most part. I will swap pipes, remove the passenger pad and pegs and relocate the tail light and license plate immediately though.

Nah, I'm not going to mess around w/the mapping anytime soon. How much are the wheels? They have to be pricey.

$3595 for both. That's a real hit, but they say it'll give you great handling characteristics. Supposedly shaves 16lbs from the bike, but it's more of a upgrade due to it being rotating mass. I'm gonna have to try em first before I fork out that kind of dough.Originally posted by blmNah, I'm not going to mess around w/the mapping anytime soon. How much are the wheels? Dam I was just getting all centimental, cool looking ride, explosive power too, tell us why the GSXR and not a honda CBR/Fireblade or R1, is the suzuki better for a big guy like yourself or something?
Be respectful of it bro, don't want you to become another statistic, don't get to emotional on that thing

I wanted a change is all. The difference between bikes of the same engine size is so minimal theses days. I have a 2000 CBR R600 and I love it, but I liked the look and feel if this GSXR. The Fireblade is sweet as hell and so is the R1, but 600cc's is sufficient for me. I love the way I can throw them around. I'm not a very big dude.
