Very true. No powercommander? I've been eyeing some carbon fiber rims. I've heard they drastically change the ride due to their light rotating mass.

$3595 for both. That's a real hit, but they say it'll give you great handling characteristics. Supposedly shaves 16lbs from the bike, but it's more of a upgrade due to it being rotating mass. I'm gonna have to try em first before I fork out that kind of dough.

I wanted a change is all. The difference between bikes of the same engine size is so minimal theses days. I have a 2000 CBR R600 and I love it, but I liked the look and feel if this GSXR. The Fireblade is sweet as hell and so is the R1, but 600cc's is sufficient for me. I love the way I can throw them around. I'm not a very big dude.
