Who has been to a NASCAR race? I visited a friend in Texas this weekend and we went to the Samsung 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway. We were 5 rows up between turns 5 and 6. Damn, those things are LOUD, even with hearing protection. I loved it!!! When they came by after a restart all in a pack double wide, I couldn't even hear myself screamin at the top of my lungs. :D YEAH BUDDY!!!!!! Those guys are crazy, that's all I have to say about that.

Bonebreaker's ex brother in-law is/was a driver. My brother and I don't claim him because he's an idiot (my uncle that is...lol). He is a born again Christian that has been married 6 times and looks down on others who don't live exactly like he does.
NASCAR in general sucks because they've went away from their roots (N. Wilkesboro, Rockingham, Hickory, etc) & they make rules up as they go along. They've kind of turned it into a parade, so I don't even watch much on TV anymore.
Having Dale Earnhardt around was nice because he didn't play these little pussy games of saying what was PC...he said what he thought and drove to win. If you were in the way, he'd move you.
Anyway, lots of people say it is boring as hell to watch on tv and they're not a fan, but change their mind once they get to go. I was at a race in Atlanta when my uncle won & being in the winner's circle was pretty cool. The cars smell a little like burning rubber and are much, much dirtier than they look on tv. That was also the last race there was no speed limit on pit road & Dale Earnhardt won the championship that day.

Been to Talladega and Atlanta. Pretty cool experience, but as with most sporting events, it is better watched on tv. Have a project right now in Charlotte, which is the center of the Nascar hub. Everything up here is Nascar. Hoping to go to All-Star race later this Summer.
