Summer Vacation thread.

I got a year membership to the zoo and we go there a lot :D

That's too damn cool bro - you've got to be the greatest family man I know (like Chevy Chase or something ;) )...

Guess I may take a trip up to VA sometime soon - hopefully before the end of the summer....

My dad has also been after me to ride out to Sturgis in August - just don't know if my lower back can take the 4000 mile pounding :mad:

Thanks, I got the membership for my birthday last month and it's nice to be able to go outside and do stuff without it costing anything. It's a zoo and aquarium. There is two different kid play areas, a kangaroo exhibit that you can walk through and pet the kangaroo's when they come next to the path, and a petting zoo with goats, sheep and stuff. So since it's free every time, we can just go for a couple hours do what we want to do, eat some lunch that we brought (kind of like a picnic).

Hey Shibby, just make sure the tykes wash their hands thoroughly after coming out of the petting zoo. They are notorious for e-coli contamination. It is probably a good idea to keep one of those hand sanitizer gels handy on these trips.

took my son to disney for 2weeks last month so i think its wellover allready.do have a trip planed to va. in july for 4 days. cant wait! also got a summer memberships to the zoo. lol.

Got a house rented in Helen Georgia with my G/F and her kids. Not sure what exactly there is to do there but just being away from work will be outstanding. If anyone has ever been let me know what to expect or maybe even some suggestions on what to do. Thanks

Oh yeah you are definitely on to something there, I am supposed to be the driver but I think I'll let my girlfriend drive the van and I'll follow behind on the scooter. I dont know how happy she'll be but I'm sure she'll get over it once we go for a ride in the mountains.

Lots and lots of cool roads up that way bro - you could even head over to Deal's Gap or back towards Chattanooga etc...

Well, we did just get back from Mexico...but I think that's my only jaunt out of the country this year. Aside from that, I think we may make a trip out East. We have family in Virginia that we want to go see. Otherwise, I think we may just take the new boat out a lot this summer. There's a resort type, man made lake about 2 hours away that we will hang out at quite a bit.

I think you'll have a nice time in Bermuda - supposed to be very pretty. What cruise line did you go with?

Costa Rica is next on our list. Another destination you should look into is the Dominican Republic. We went there for our honeymoon, and absolutely LOVED it. We compare just about every vacation to that trip. We stayed in Puerto Plata, which is on the northern part of the island.

Cancun AWESOME, Cozumel OVERRATED, but beautiful beaches.
