Thanks, I got the membership for my birthday last month and it's nice to be able to go outside and do stuff without it costing anything. It's a zoo and aquarium. There is two different kid play areas, a kangaroo exhibit that you can walk through and pet the kangaroo's when they come next to the path, and a petting zoo with goats, sheep and stuff. So since it's free every time, we can just go for a couple hours do what we want to do, eat some lunch that we brought (kind of like a picnic).
I thought kangaroo's were aggressive? It'd be cool to pet one though lol!
Another destination you should look into is the Dominican Republic. We went there for our honeymoon, and absolutely LOVED it. We compare just about every vacation to that trip. We stayed in Puerto Plata, which is on the northern part of the island.
I've stayed in that same city (I believe it was at a Jack-Tar Village or something like that) - too too too cool - definitely somewhere I would go again...
Costa Rica is next on our list. Another destination you should look into is the Dominican Republic. We went there for our honeymoon, and absolutely LOVED it. We compare just about every vacation to that trip. We stayed in Puerto Plata, which is on the northern part of the island.
Costa Rica was a good time, the zipline tour was definitely something to check out. Rent a surf board while you're down there too the surfing can be phenominal. I just rented a car while I was down there and kind of just did whatever I wanted so I dont have any advice on resorts but I can tell you that some of them are pretty kick ass looking. There are definitely some bad areas so make sure you do the research.

Maybe these are very domestic. They usually just lay around away from the path eating, but they will hop across the path with no concern to the people. They don't really sit there and let you pet them, they kind of ignore you. They may hop away in a second, it may be 15 seconds...

I remember the first time I walked into the kangaroo area at our local zoo. I had no idea that they just hopped around freely. When the biggest one in there hopped over the rope fence and bounced in front of me...I about pissed myself.

LMAO, but I don't blame you, those things could do some serious damage. I'd like to pet one though lol.
