Actually yes. I know that I am superior. When I see an animal, I feel a sense of responsibility for that animal. I don't think that anything humans can learn from animals couldn't be learned without them. Other humans, yeah, I have alot to learn from other humans.

Why do we allow animals to kill each other and not punish the killers as murderers? Why do we allow animals to devour their own young? Why don't we put bears and sharks on trial for attacking and/or killing human "people"? What if this ape attacked and killed one of it's guardians? And that has happened before. Would you be willing to convict it of murder and sentence it to a life in prison?

Not to the extent that you believe we do. Polluting the immediate environment we live in is not nearly equivilent to destroying or poluting the entire planet. Are we wasting resources? Absolutely. Are we being terrible stewards of this planet? Yes, we are. But we're not destroying it.

I agree with you on those points. Of course we are not going to send an animal to jail for killing a different animal in the wild. It isn't our place to do that. Thus the reason I said I am not really talking about the article you posted just the way we view the world in general.

by the way, i don't walk around feeling superior to any animal. as a matter of fact, I envy them. they know how to live life. they enjoy it. compare that to humans who run around all day in a hurry to do nothing, never stopping to enjoy life.

on the other hand, i do feel superior to many humans. i feel superior to someone that is so ignorant that they feel they can learn nothing from any other creature on earth besides human. what a dumb fuck.
