I went there for the second time last week. The first time I went I had no idea the history behind it. I was simply told by a buddy that it was some of the best pizza he had ever had. He never told me that it was the "first pizzeria in the US." I saw that on the food network earlier this year.

They're one of the few places left that use a coal burning oven. They were grandfathered in when the new environmental laws were passed years ago.

Yea, that's probably the most famous thing, but jambalaya, etoufee, and a few others are amazing, but sometimes our food is a little more seasoned than northern folk can handle lol.

If anyone ever comes to South LA. let me know and I can tell you some amazing restaurants to go to. I don't know if they have this at Walmarts up north but Tony Chachere's (green bottle) is an amazing
seasoning....high in sodium, but it's the best.

That IS the best seasoning! I was just wondering if they have that up North....
