Is anyone here involved in their own local political systems OR working to "fight" local issues etc?
I often find myself staying up late at night watching public television where folks discuss zoning issues etc and wonder just WTH qualifies some of these people to be in their positions. It really makes me want to be more involved and I'm looking to hear from others who may already be doing so. What role do you play - how did you get into it - what kinds of things do you do etc....
