During the regular season two hours a week. I watch smallville and house, since they are off for now I don't watch any tv at all. and the funny part is with all the HD and movie channels I have the biggest cable package possible I am paying a fortune every month and I don't even use it.

You guys have got to get it out of your heads that I'm unhappy - just more honest with myself than others

As for the last part - LMAO...

But to clarify - I only hope to be at that point in my life sooner than later - a point where my life isn't so rushed and I don't get upset/worked up about nonsense - a point where I truly cherish what's important (like my son and his life etc) as opposed to filling it with junk I don't need - you know - a form of personal ZEN or some shit like that :P....

I listen to CNBC in the morning as I prep for work...and while I do work at night I have it on., usually Anderson Cooper 360. Sometimes I listen to the radio at night...All together I watch about 3 hrs a day and its usually background noise. But theres a few shows I have to watch. Sunday I watch for 1.5 hrs straight.

However if I were home durning the day that number would be SOOO much higher, like 6 hrs or so b/c Star Trek is on Spike during the day and I love that show.

The only television I've watched since posting this thread has been two 5 minute blips of the Weather Channel as my area was about to get hit hard/was getting hit hard by a few bad storms and I wondered wth was up with the system...

Other than that I caught about 30 minutes of a Braves game last week while eating out and about 15 minutes of the race last Sunday before falling asleep. I've been amazed at how much more peaceful my life seems not having the damn thing on....

Good to hear, bro! The longer you go without TV, the easier it will get as you will fill the available time with more rewarding pursuits. And then you'll look back one day and wonder what possessed you to spend as much time with the damn thing in the 1st place ... lol...

I don't think I could ever go completely without tv. I love sports too much.

Saturday's in the fall don't count for me - as far as I'm concerned there are only six days a week during college football season - my "rule" wouldn't apply then because the day doesn't "count" :P...

Although I must say that FB did manage to pull me away from my regular Saturday routine on many an occasion - I missed many many games just to be with her - maybe she she is a bad influence  - J/K - she is way better than football (that and I have a DVR :P)

I've recently decided I watch way too much TV and have resolved to cut my time in half by the end of this week - just way too much other stuff in life to be exposed to than allowing anything and everything to find its way into my house/mind....
I didn't read all the responses but I watch to much...most of it is just yankee games but I waste to much time.
