i noticed we have been gettin hit alot latly! any of you computer gurus know how to log on their site and flood it with junk? if so please do, or let me know how so i can do it!

I don't know how to do that stuff or if it's even possible. But the spam has picked up over the last month. Usually when I log on about 5:30am est I have to delete about 4 or 5 threads. Today though was just insane. I think I had to delete almost ten. -
I delete about 15-20 a day.
There are company's that revolve around getting "linked" on search engines. This is a pretty big forum and it is indexed by search engines extensively. The more links these spammers can post on forums like this, the more business they can get via the search engines. These spammers do not work for a single company, it is a variety of company's and they are mostly from Amsterdam. They don't come from any forum. These people are coming from big business in Europe etc..
I can actually block the entire country of origin but I have been trying to avoid that as I am sure there are many good people there that want to view the board and not cause problems.Last edited by Bouncer; 06-23-07, 11:28 AM.Comment

It has been much worse lately - I'm sure it's worth it to leave new registration on though - it doesn't take long to ban/edit anyways...Comment
