Report: Wrestler strangled wife, smothered son
A law enforcement official close to the investigation tells The Associated Press that pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in the weight room of the family's suburban Atlanta home. Authorities also said they are investigating whether steroids may have been a factor in the deaths.

Was just watching fox news. They were talking about the story and written at the bottom of the page the whole time was, "ROID RAGE".

I find it funny whenever a guy with muscles gets in any trouble it is associated with steroids.

Atlanta-Journal Constitution Reveals Benoit Martial Problems

[Previous Article] - [Back To Rajah.com Main Page] While updating their coverage of the Benoit family tragedy, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution has posted a report that Nancy Benoit filed for divorce and an order of protection from Chris Benoit in May 2003.

Nancy Benoit alleged in the divorce petition that Chris, "lost his temper and threatened to strike the petitioner and cause extensive damage to the home and personal belongings of the parties, including furniture and furnishings. Petitioner is in reasonable fear for petitioner's own safety and that of the minor child."

This prompted the judge to issue a restraining order on Chris Benoit from entering their family home. In August 2003, his wife Nancy requested that the petition be dismissed. The couple later reconciled and celebrated Benoit’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship win at WrestleMania 20 in the ring together

Ya, I just heard about that order of protection on the news. Seems to me that most people did not know the real Chris Benoit. They have obviously been having problems for years.

The question is this. What made him so angry that he killed his wife and child? What were these weird text messages that he sent? Anyone think she was cheating on him?

WWE Pulls Chris Benoit Profile & Testimonials From Website

In addition to the Shopzone merchandise, WWE has pulled their profile page on Chris Benoit from the company's website, not to mention that the front page isn't a Benoit tribute anymore as well. Pretty much all that is being showcased on the website regarding Chris Benoit is on the grim details of the Benoit family tragedy.

Last night they posted a bunch photos and videos of him, and made his section into kind of a tribute section. They also posted videos of the wrestlers giving their testimonials on Benoit, but those were quickly pulled after the grim details surrounding the Benoit family deaths surfaced. They also pulled the front page graphic of him from the Raw and ECW sections. The story of last night's Raw show still remains in the results section though.

I watched that RAW last night after hearing about all this in the news. They were making him out to be a saint that absolutely loved his family and would help anyone. The whole time I am thinking, "what if he is the one that killed them." That seemed to be the only thing that made sense to me. Then I thought to myself, "no way they would give a 3 hour tribute to a guy that just murdered his family." I guess they just had no idea. What exactly did they think happened though ya know?!? Crazy..

But the kid.. why kill the kid? He had nothing to do with it. Also, one would think that he went so far as to kill his whole family, he would have killed the guy she cheated with also. That doesn't seem to be the case.

So they think he killed her on Saturday and the son on Sunday!! He had time to sit around and think about it.. and still killed his son. Man that is one fucked up individual. I wonder if he and the wife got into an argument and he went to far and grabbed her an killed her without meaning too. He probably thought to himself, "well, i will go to jail for the rest of my life, my son wont have a mom or dad". My guess is he saw no other way out and decided to end it all.

YUP. You can bet the farm that one of them was probably cheating. If it was her, he flew into a rage and did the deed. If it was him, she probably pushed him too far and he went off. Either way, what a waste of three lives, especially the little boy. BB
