Nice. I just saw a commercial for that the other day. I think eventually all communication is going to be done over the internet. Whether it be text, voice or video.

I just hate how I have to activate my new debit card (or confirm something for WesternUnion etc) from my home phone number but yet I'm NEVER there - that's the kind of crap that kills me about landlines...

haven't had a land line in over 2 years. everyone in my apt. has a cell and we got wireless from comcast so no need for a line there. makes it super easy, less bill to worry about

My friend told me yesterday that he has to have a land line for his alarm system. I guess that would make this plan useful to a lot of people.

Me too - I always worry that I'll have to call 911 or something and my cell won't have service....
