That's why I find it funny, I don't think PA is that hot at all, but it's funny when southerns have day around 50-60 they are freezing.

My mother is in N.E. PA and the heat index was 105 today. It wasn't even that bad in Tampa today.

It's horribly hot all over the country right now. They're topping 120 (w/o heat index factored in) in the west/midwest.

        Like I said....I HATE SUMMER!

Just sucks because it's like that from late February until late October and then because of the humidity the "cold" feels that much colder - the humidity takes it to the bone...

I've been around enough of the US to know this is probably my least favorite area when it comes to "steamy" but other than that it ain't to bad - I damn sure miss Missouri though - having four seasons was cool - here and Texas it's just two and that's no fun....

Ugh, Miss-ery, that place is brutal in the winter. I did basic training there in January and it was freakin freezing! I remember trying to dig my foxhole w/the little entrenching tool (tiny ass shovel). You'd be digging for hours on end just to clear away a few inches. Bah.

its more then that bro. i live minutes from newark nj. it takes an hour and a half to 2 hours to get to the Poconos from here. 60 miles west added to that would add at least 45-50 minutes to that trip. that would put your mom at like 130 miles from the east coast of PA. what am i missing?

ok, so Bloomsburg is 140 miles west of where i live. that puts bloomsburg about 60 miles west of the east coast of PA. i guess i was just thinking North East like not far from jersey but its a good distance.

PA has a "coast" :P

I miss Missouri mainly for the hunting - never really liked where I lived for anything other than that...

Central PA is humid as shit. Believe me, and it gets hot as hell there as well. That is if its not raining. Pa is one fucked up state.

That's definitely me. When you're used to the heat - cooling off is like 70s - then when "all of a sudden" it's 50s - it's freezing.
