Decided to have some junk food last night for the first time in about 2 months. Muscles were feeling flat and I was feeling weak in the gym yesterday so I thought a quick boost in calories would do me some good. Had pizza and some chocolate chip cookies for dinner. While everything tasted absolutely delicious, I have a food hangover now. I feel like pure shit, bloated, burping, farting, heart burn, etc.. lol. Man, its just not worth it. Its like my body is saying, "i dont want this crap fuel to run on, I want the good fuel". lol

My theory is that when you're not eating fat for long periods of time, your body adjusts....and lowers the amount of fat-digesting enzymes it produces. Then when you suddenly re-introduce a large amount of fat, you lack the enzymes needed to digest it properly, and that's when you get the burping/bloating/farting/shitting and the sick feeling.

Food hangovers suck regardless - I was hurting for almost a week after my very first show - it was JUST like an alcohol hangover too...
On that note - I think it's better to have the occasional cheat meal (once a week etc) not only to prevent this from happening but to also keep your body guessing (hell - sometimes I'll even go for a cheat day once a month OR implement a thursday/sunday cheat meal setup)....
