One thing that people forget that they should be reminded of is this:

Even though you have the athletic ability to be a professional athlete, does mean you have the right to.

It is not a right to play in the NFL, it is a priviledge. And just like with any other job, if you can't abide by the rules of the company, they fire your ass! If I broke company policies, I would be fired. It should be no different if you make $130 million, in fact it should be even more so. They don't pay his ass that much money to act a damn fool. They pay him to be a PROFESSIONAL athlete. That means acting like a grown up professional...............

Here is the downfall of professional sports summed up:

You take an extremely talented athlete at a young age who comes from the inner city. You let him into college to play sports without teaching him anything about being an adult. He's in college 2 years and then the pros. Now is he a responsible professional athlete? NO, he's a thug who makes millions of dollars.

Now, the leagues in general are not free of guilt. They prosper off these thugs exponentially and act suprised when things like this happen. What the hell did they expect to happen. If you never teach someone not to be a thug, then all you've done is take a thug with no respect for anything/anyone and give access to anything he wants. He will continue to do ghetto shit, but now it's to a higher degree.

First thats ignorant.Plain and simple. The ghetto as you call it is because the superior atheletes are from that enviroment.Has nothing to do with Auburns poor ethics.Who said its a privaledge to play in the NFL?A privaledge for who?The player, league, team?Players make a few million teams a billion. They get paid according to what they are worth to the team. The athelete is the one getting exploited.Athletes are human not Role Models. Its our responsibility to teach or kids, not Terrel Owens.

No shit, you say "The ghetto as you call it is because the superior atheletes are from that enviroment.." and I'm the ignorant one. Why is it that no one here agrees with you? There are thousands of athletes in the NFL, so why is it that certian ones are always in trouble? And it is a privelege to get paid millions of dollars a year to play a game. Regardless of how much an Owner makes. It's his team. If Vick wants to run things then he should start is own team and see how well he succeeds.

Why'd you use my quote, I didn't say all superior athletes were black :dunno:

It IS a privilege. They are CHOSEN to play...this isn't a football camp you sign up for and any one can come. Let's be serious.

Please explain how the athlete is getting exploited. I'm sorry, but I don't recall an athlete complaining about how much money they are making.

Athletes ARE human, and MOST OF ALL- they are ROLE MODELS. If they weren't a role model, then how come the big endorsers use them to boost their product sales??? Because kids LOOK UP TO THEM. IT's pretty simple. It's not about teaching our kids. Don't you remember the Michael Jordan campaign "I want to be like Mike"???????

Why can't we have more of a John Lynch, Manning's, Bledsoe's, Montana's, Reggy White(r.i.p), Jerry Rice, Hogan's, Lou G(r.i.p), Larry Bird, Jordan's etc...Within the Prof sports industries today?

And for the most part, it's Black athlete's who do this kind of stupid fucked up shit:slap: Look at the fights in B-Ball; Blacks...Look at football; Blacks...College F-Ball...Blacks.

I'm NOT saying that other races don't get in trouble...But come on...Look at what happened with Duke players...But they were found innocent due to OVERWHELMING evidence against those who were blaming them.

I'm not talking about perfect personal lives, I'm talking about trouble with the law, both on and off the court, that gives the league a bad name.
