I don't think we wish trouble on everyone, but when someone has everything they could ever want or need and they blow it, it pisses people off. They have things that every one of us would like to have and they throw it away. And for what? Partying, gambling, drugs, crime.........it's a fucking shame! And they chose to be in the spotlight. If they never wanted to be criticized, they should get a normal day job. They are in the public eye and open themselves up for scrutiny.

People enjoy the downfall of those who don't deserve to have what they do. When corrupt people have wealth and power, people want to see them fail. That's life. People who do good everyday don't want to see pieces of shit doing better than them. I sure as hell don't.

The problem is that those things like partying, gambling, drugs, crime often come with the "success". Maybe what every one of us would like to have isn't everything they could ever want. We envy their lives, but like you said, public scrutiny comes with the job. Maybe we should rethink how important fame and money are.Originally posted by grnmchnI don't think we wish trouble on everyone, but when someone has everything they could ever want or need and they blow it, it pisses people off. On the other hand, I think that some of them are just doing what they love. They should have the right to pursue a career doing something they love doing without becoming the public's whipping boy/girl. That said, if you're in the public eye, you have to be more aware of your actions.

I disagree that partying, gambling, drugs, and crime come with success. There is no reason why to two should be linked.Originally posted by babybluesThe problem is that those things like partying, gambling, drugs, crime often come with the "success". The rest are good points.

I guess I should have said that partying, gambling and drugs are temptations that come with the kind of success these people have. Those things are going to be more available to them. As celebrities, it's all around them. They're surrounded by it. It's no wonder so many of them get swept away by it.Originally posted by grnmchnI disagree that partying, gambling, drugs, and crime come with success. There is no reason why to two should be linked.

That I agree with. But like you said, like it or not they are influential to people all over the world. They should have enough self awareness to keep things straight.Originally posted by babybluesI guess I should have said that partying, gambling and drugs are temptations that come with the kind of success these people have.
