I thought it was pretty bad ass. I think the ending was a little too quick. I felt they should have showed a little bit more story after the bull was killed, as opposed to leaving the viewer to assume the rest of the species just died out.

I agree - I love dragons for some reason - I wanted to see them take one or two and make it part of their weapons arsenal - riding them like horses in battle or something cool like that...

I rewatched this the other day. If you can look past the Cowboy America propaganda, it pretty good.
