umm, are you talking about the Planet Earth Series on Discovery? David Attenborough is not the narrator.

its on UK documentaries, re run of lots old ones originally for the BBC I suppose. They don't age though animals are the same as they were decades ago, just less of them.

Well my friend it appears you are right. I found this on Wikipedia.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_Earth_(TV_series)

"Planet Earth is a BBC nature documentary series narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Alastair Fothergill. It was first transmitted in the UK from 5 March 2006. The American version is narrated by Sigourney Weaver."

I wonder why they changed the narrator?

it seems that we got a different host in America. that is kinda gay.

i would rather have this David Attenborough host it. I dont like sigourny's voice.

In "The Making of Planet Earth" David Attenborough introduce the behind the scene segments.

I got the life series, theres something special whe you see a guy in his 70s passionate about earth and all its wild wonders, not some actor turned presenter for a while, but an expert that has spent his whole life doing what he loves with so much respect.

I'm in awe of people like that and you know they know their shit when they tell ya.

Sadly he's had to give up now, just too old to go and sit with mountain Gorillas, there was a scene when one came and sat next to him in the wild (uganda or some place) in the old days when they wern't so exposed, and one put its hand on his head and played with his hair, the gorillas hand was huge and Attenborough was crying and smiling at the same time with amazment, you could see it just lit him up

                    cool
