S&W is made by Stag. Armalite is decent as is Bushmaster. Some things like carrier key staking and MP tested bolts made me lean more toward Stag. Two of my ARs are RRA and two are Stag. Never had any problems from any of them.
And I agree the EOtech has a better FOV but the Aimpoint has the better battery life. I've had the one Aimpoint for a year now and never bothered to turn it off, still on the same battery.
oh didnt know s and w was made by stag. there is a big gun show in reno next week i think ill have my nephew come dome and buy me a stag. only problem with thats is goin to the range and some ass LE that has a thing for black guns popin me. what fun is a gun if you cant shoot it.
again great collection and thanks for the input on ARs!
Crikey Deca what does a man need all that kit for, I mean if you like to shoot whats wrong with a 10-22 Ruger semi auto
he is a gun nut just as i am. im almost positive he is LE or military. his choice in weapons are all tactical. but then again if you seen my collection you would think the same thing and im neither. im a "you never know" or "what if" guy. i have a togo bag that has weapons, camos, food and body armor in it sittin in my closet for the "you never know day". i have spent alot of money on things i will hopefully never use. side note anyone have night vision they wanna sell?
I one took out a wabbit at 157 yards shooting from standing, my support arm elbow rested on my knee with my foot on a fence post. Open sights, no telescopics!
flipped him right there, chest shot, not even a nervous leg kick, stone dead!
that was a bolt action Bruno with winchester 22 rabbit ammo, only rim fire!
shit imagine what I could do with a 270, I'm just glad Her Majesty Secret Services don't know, theyd consider me a threat and employ me, LOL!
By the way, out of respect I made a crusty pie with him

157 yards with no optics? that must have been a big ass rabbit like horse size! shit i cant even see the bulls eye at 100 yards with out a scope. it just looks like a big black dot. how the hell did you know it was 157 yards you walk it off. sorry bro i call bulshit on the basis of you said 157 yards and i cant see that far..lol..
oh by the way i shoot a hand gun pretty good at my own pace, never tryed any timed shooting. dont realy shoot my long guns to much i have altered them to much for good old cali laws.
I have a Ruger .270 with scope, Browning O/U 12g, Remington 870 12g, a Marlin 30/30, Winchester .22 with scope, a Ruger 9mm pistol (looking to get laser sites), an ancient Bear bow, a newer Matthews Solocam and looking to start this season off with an even newer/better Matthews...

sadly yes I did walk it out :dancingne
I adjusted the elevation slide to about 120 yards, changed my mind slightly on the distance, but didn't adjust the slide any just lined up the top of the H with the wabbit head and pushed the nose up an couple inches to give more BDC and squeezed.
I'm a country boy originally and actually with open sights I always found I could shoot like three, one after the other before they scattered whereas with a scope you have to take your eye out from the entry optic look over then reset.
I used to competition shoot bro with little bitty 177 air rifle, principles are the same though so I am pretty steady.
No BS bro but perhaps fortionate there was no cross wind

I've tried once or twice - I wasn't very good right off the bat and haven't had much time to get back into it - I promised myself that I would one day soon - maybe when I get a piece of property since I went ahead and bought a release machine a while back with the intentions of doing so...
Also - it was inherited from when a relative died so it wasn't something I had originally intended to own otherwise I would probably practice like a mad man until I mastered it (just the way I am :P)...
check the nitro proffing on that buddy, I've got horrible visions of you with black singed eyebrows and a split barrel at the opening trap of your neighbourhood clay challenge
