He was a huge fuck and was trying to smash my head on a sink we had knocked off the wall in the locker room - it was pure instinct as our bags had spilled shit all over the floor and it was the closest thing to me that served as a "weapon" - and as I'm sure you can tell from my personality on the board I am NOT a violent person...

However - I do see the irony/joke in your comment ;)....

He jumped the hell off of me and started screaming like a chick calling me a crazy "n-word" although I was MUCH whiter than he was - I got two weeks of out of school suspension and he had to go to an alternative school the rest of the year as it was only one of countless fights he had started/been in (this was all postponed until after football season was over of course)...

I heard about this on the radio when they were talking about college kids going back to school and needing a usb drive. I don't know if kids really need USB drives in high school now... It's been a while since I was there :)

I got my first pocket knife when I was ten years old. Learned it was a tool not a toy and treated it as such. Carried it everywhere I went and never had a problem. That included school, if you were a male over the age of thirteen and didn't have a pocket knife something was likely wrong with you. Everyone I knew carried knives all thru school and it was never an issue. I graduated from High School in '91 so it wasn't all that long ago. But times certainly do change, and usually not for the better.

Next to guns and vehicles, knives consume the majority of my expendable income.

it is that I usually post some stuff and don't get much of the feedback, this is kind of the first time I am interacting with someone, and that someone is the most respected person on the board. I didn't want to make it wrong and argue if this knife is good or not, just thought that people may appreciate the idea and see what new stuff are out there.

I'm sure public schools would balk at it but I think it would be cool to have - I think it's a KILLER idea :D...

What I'll never understand is the mentality that nothing "sharp" should be allowed in certain places like schools/planes etc but I can honestly say that I stabbed a guy in the eye with an ink pen out of self-defense once when I was in Junior Highschool - giving a kid a knife may increase the risk of it's use but it will never rule out the tendency for violence/self-preservation????
