pro athlete's earn their money, that isn't the same as someone winning the lottery

I definitely see Mitch's point with the pro athlete analogy. Most ro athletes make more than any of us can dream of. Yet when they retire most have nothing. I think this mainly comes form the fact that they grew up with nothing and have no idea how to wisely use their fortune. The spend their money on depressiable assets like cars, boats, clothes, etc..That is what Mitch is refering to by the lottery comparison. Paris Hilton, who absolutley would not have anything she has today without her inheritance, at least has a father/grandfather who is self made and understands how to turn your money into more money.

You cant be fucking serious, yeah paris was a model and has a label and whatever else she does, but there is no way she has done this on her own, she has no idea how to manage money, have you seen the "simple life". you have only got to watch 5mins of that show to see the silly twat has absoloutley no work ethic or sense of urgency in anything she does

point is this. the hardest thing to do is to make the money. you seem to dismiss the work that people like gates and anyone else that is rich. they worked their fucking asses off to get there. that is the hardest part.

paris hilton was an example, never said she was on the list. she makes perfumes, models, etc.. because she has been given those opportunities to do so. if she was born into a household that makes 30k a year you would never see her on a model runway. you would never see her with her own perfume. the only person worth a damn in that family is the grandfather that made the fortunes and built up the company. he did the hardest part. now the family can do what they want and get all the opportunities they want. i will say again, i have 100% respect for the self made's. not the people that are handed it.

The people who are willing to do what it takes to make money are the ones who have it. Even those people who were handed fortunes are eventually going to lose it if they don't appreciate the hard work that it takes to keep it. Even if you get all the opportunities you want, you're not guaranteed success. You have to work hard to take advantage of those opportunities. It doesn't matter if your family makes 30K a year or 3B a year. Opportunities are what you make of them. You seem to dismiss the fact that it takes the same hard work to keep making money year after year even if you are handed an empire. Building the fortune and keeping the fortune take the same hard work, bro.
