That was fixed. Plus it was the Sox so it wasn't that great.

Yankees are toast...so unless 'The Boss' has a change of heart, so is Joe Torre.

I wonder if this will affect their ability to re-sign A-Rod.

getting rid of Torre would be a mistake. lets not forget how shitty the tanks were in the first half of the season. if you ask me, Torre did a pretty good job at getting them back and into the playoffs..

Agreed, Bouncer. The problem is the lack of quality starting pitchers, not Joe Torre. It's time for Steinbrenner to get out the ol' checkbook and go after a legitimate ace (not an over-the-hill Clemens type).

No standout free agent pitchers for next season, so they'd have to make a trade to get one.

But for 2009, if I were 'The Boss', I'd put a bug in Johan Santana's agent's ear...let him know to not accept a contract extension without hearing the Yankees offer first.

What will be good for them is Joba will hopefully be ready to be a starter next season. But you're right their pitching is really lacking and needs an overhaul.

who is the guy that always throws wild pitches? i am sorry but this guy sucks. always beaming people with balls, throwing the ball 6 feet over the catchers head etc.. for every good pitch he makes 3 wild ones.

You're not talking about Joba are you? I think I know who you mean but can't remember his name. Brunney is another one that sucks ass. He let a home run almost every time he pitched.
