How many ribs do men and women have?

So I asked 7 people this question today. Everyone of them had some form of answer that men have one less or women have one more. I was so dumbfounded by the abundance of the answer, I went to Barnes and Nobles at lunch because it made me question myself. I couldn't believe that not ONE person said they have the same, but even more that they were so certain that men and women had different number of ribs.
