    Sorry man, don't know too much about guitar but I think there are others on the forum who play either guitar or bass. I don't think it as difficult as violin because you have frets, but the fact that you have a half dozen ways to play the same scale because the notes repeat on different strings is both the blessing and the curse of the instrument, I think.

          Scales aren't the devil but they definitely set you back if you're not familiar with music theory - guitar is childs play in comparison to violin if you want to be above average...
