  • A-Rod / Scott Boras....are they insane???

Apparently they told the Yankees that they wouldn't even sit down to talk contract unless they were prepared to offer a contract extension that would bring his total deal up to a MINIMUM of $350 MILLION DOLLARS !!!

I think he will end up getting at least 300 million over 10 years.

I'm all for someone wanting to get paid what they're worth...but....NO PLAYER is worth that much...not even if you factor in better attendance and ratings in a large market.

For that kind of money, I'd want a 20 game winning pitcher who can hit like Arod on the days he's not pitching as a DH.

Completely self-centered and a promotional attempt by ARod to use the World Series to announce that he is on the market. That being said I'm not a fan of the Steinbrenner's either and their win at any price attitude. Joe Torre should've been able to retire in NY. He has won the championship several times, so it shows to me that is more about chemistry and the right players versus the head skipper.
