It was pretty good. The town home they were in was a rental, so an urban relief group donated some land a city over and they built the house on that. The thing the five boys were most excited about were having beds. Four them slept on the floor with a blanket and the oldest slept on a couch. A lot of episodes make you appreciate your family, but this one makes me appreciate the simple things, like a bed, so much more.

It is such a good show. They do such good things. Its hard to believe that people in what is the richest country in the world don't even have beds. Its ridiculous.

Yeah, that show makes you appreciate the life you have. There are times when I watch the show where I have to fight back the tears. I tell myself "don't cry you pussy"! :D

The dad was constantly killing roaches. The babies bed had them crawling all over it. Then they showed one of the older sons getting home late from work, and he slept on the coach....with the roaches! Seriously make syou wonder how people live like that or how they got their in the first place. Very sad...

they are born into that. the schools they go to are absolute shit if they even go to school. they really are given no opportunity in places like Camden. sure, if they are determined to make it, they can. but when you are surrounded by that kind of shit your whole life, it is very hard.

I get that, but at some point a parent has to weigh the pros and cons of their situation and make some tough decisions. What typ eof jobs do their parents have? Are they renting? Just an assumption, but I would guess that the parents in that city have entry level position jobs. I would also assume that many of them are renting and don't own the house they're in. So the question has to be, why don't you pack up and move to another city?

Maybe I'm making it too simple, but at the risk of loosing your family on a a daily basis, something has got to give...

you are thinking on a different level then a lot of these people bro. you said, "at some point a parent has to weigh the pros and cons of their situation and make some tough decisions."

hell these people have to make decisions about how they are going to keep their kids from starving for the next week. its like drowning and trying to think about the score of the football game. lol. these people are not even capable of making those choices because they are in such a world of shit.

as far as packing up and moving. when you have no friends that own a truck or even a vehicle and you have 0 dollars, how are you going to move? anyone that has moved knows it cost a shit load to do so. i have moved like 5 times and each time it cost way more then i thought it would.

it is easy for me and you to talk about what they should do. kind of like talking about a fighter in the UFC getting beat up. me and you would say, "he should do this or that". but once you are in that world of shit, its a different story.

I see your point, for sure. I would just think that every waking moment they were thinking off a way to get out. And maybe they do, there just any good options. IDK, I guess I am just far enough removed from that situation (thank god) that it doesn't register...
