  • anyone have any idea on how to get rid of an old computer? i know you aren't supposed to just toss them in the trash. how do you recycle them or whatever? i guess the first thing i would do a take out the hard drive and destroy it first.

            • haha, the deal i got my computer with yesterday has already disappeared from the dell site. the same exact computer is now $525.00 shipped. i got mine for $399.00 shipped. :D dell yanked that deal pretty damn quick.

              • do the new wireless cards that come built into the new laptops work better then the old ones? i have a linksys card that i bought in 04 and it has never worked very well. drops the connection all the time even though the router is like 10 feet away. hoping that the new cards have better range or whatever.

                        • rado, refer back to my original question. lol. you take things in a total different direction. i am asking if the new wireless cards are better at holding a connection then the ones from 2004.

the fan on most laptops is on the bottom. it is there to pull in cool air to cool the CPU. when you have a pillow under it, it stops that cool air. the word "breath" is actually correct. this is part of the reason that most computer companies don't call them laptops anymore. they call them notebooks.
