Yeah it's really expensive unless you're gonna have it there for like a year.

We have talked about sending our car to Poland to give to my wife's parents in a couple years when we plan to get a new one. But I'm not sure it would be affordable for them to even have since it needs unleaded fuel.

it would be super expensive. i would think 5-8k from the time you drop it off until they pick it up and are able to drive it home.

Too expensive. I've lived in Europe a couple of times and the military would pay for one vehicle. My parents would just buy a second vehicle when we got there and sell it before we left.

That's basically what I was wondering. It would be too hard to justify more than a 1k or so, for a car that would only be worth 4-5k at best. I was wondering if it would be more affordable to just sell/trade in the old one and just buy them a car over there.

1k wouldn't even get the car on the ship. way more expensive than that.

It cost that much to get one to another state.

                      you lived there.

I lived in England when I was a kid, and then I moved to The Netherlands in high school - that's where I graduated.

Yep, excellent experience. The schools over there are amazing. I graduated in a class of 60 - so everyone was close, and most played sports, etc because it's all we had to do.
