I say give the guy probation for 5 yrs. He defended his neighbors property. id love to have a neighbor like that.

Depends on the state law...if it was in AL and they broke into their home, they could have shot them and been fine. They changed the law here a few years ago to address this issue and take the liability away from the home owner. Gotta love the south!

did you even listen to it? reason i ask is, you keep saying "they". It was 1 guy that called the police. He told them that 2 guys were robbing his neighbors house and that he was going to go over and shoot them with his shot gun. That is what he did.

The thing here is that it was not his home; that's NOT self defense...Regardless of what you and I think, there are laws they have to govern by...

agreed, he seemed a little to eager to go an kill them. i would have went over there and held them at gun point until the police arrived.

lol...He did the right thing...I would of done the same...Fuck that...That could of been his house....Oh well...That's considered Home Invasion....They got what they deserved.

I agree he may have done the right thing but it wasnt his house so Im sure by law they will have to charge him with something.
Where I live a guy has tio be INSIDE MY house for me to kill them. I would have called the cops though.

Thats true also. Id like more details. Around here since the storm its usually hardcore criminals breakin into houses in New Orleans.
Now if it were two kids makin a stupid mistake then of course I wouldnt want em shot.
We did stupid shit growijn up that we couldve got blown away for. Got a .357 pulled on us siphening gas out of cars when we were like 16. Stupid mistake but we sure learned a lesson!!
