Can someone PLEASE explain to me WHAT THE FUCK is up with the price of eggs!?!?!?!

Last time I went to the supermarket, eggs were at $2.93....which was up from the $2.29 I had become accustomed to. So, I go this past week, and ONE 18 pack of eggs was $4.09!!!!

So, then I go to Sams, and they have TWO 18 packs of eggs for $5.72!!!

How can Sams sell them for almost HALF that price??? :hang:

Eggs have gone up in price across the board. I have noticed that the eggology jugs of egg whites that I buy have kept a constant price.

I don't like eating eggs but I eat them at least once a day. I would eat more if it was faster.

We have the option for both. But, Jesus- if the juiced up regular chicken's eggs are that much, I can only imagine how outrageous cage or range eggs would be!

I thought I remember something awhile back that had to do with the price of milk & eggs going up. But, I thought it was just like a one time hike. I didn't think the prices would continue to rise. I mean, they are double the price in less than 6 months. Shit, that's like the mark up on jewelry (500-100%) & furniture (800%)I can't understand what would drive the price up so much.

I mean, I understand fuel is more expensive and everything, but that IMO doesn't justify a 100% increase in price
