And real games are still just games. That would have made a pretty powerful statement. A statement that says the players are more important than the damn game. Compare that to 22 yards on the first play. Congratulations, Buffalo. Sometimes sentiments accomplish more than first downs.

I don't think running the ball the first play from scrimage did anything to take away from the tribute, IMO.
