i decided that i'm sick of windows so i'm switching to mac. i just ordered a 17" hi-res/2.6 Ghz dual-core/2GB RAM/200 Gig HD macbook pro from apple. my boss is gonna love this! HAHA!

if anyone wants a dell XPS m1710 for a heck of a price, let me know by tomorrow...

i'm a hobbyist dj/graphics designer and macOS kills windows in everything other than business apps and games. but vmware fusion/unity is quickly changing even that. i can't wait for q4 statements....it'll be interesting to see how many people jump over to mac following the vista debacle...

there is always a windows release debacle. vista will be just as good if not better then XP in the months to come. i really don't see many people getting macs. just way to expensive and money talks. add to that, apple just released a TON of patches and fixes because of vulnerabilities ect..

every os does...i actually have a vista sp1 beta release and it doesn't do much to fix the support issues. sure, it's beta - but when a product goes to beta, in general, it's ready and the the beta phase is only a bug-fix phase. i read a review somewhere recently that concluded the performance increase for vista after sp1 was about 1%. the performance increase for xp sp3 was over 10%!

truth be told, i like vista in terms of stability. it's WAY more stable than xp...it's just the performance that i don't like...

well....time will tell. the mac can actually run vista with no problem at all should i decide to run vista again after all the kinks are worked out. in fact, pc mag concluded that the mac is the fastest vista platform they've tested to date. anyhow - i'm a tech-junkie and it's a fun project.
