It seemed like they were holding back in hopes they would get the series instead of making a real kick ass movie.

no, thats not how it works. NBC or any other network will order a pilot episode. in this case, they made a 2 hour episode to see what the feedback is. if the feedback is good they get a green light to make the series. if the feedback is bad, we will never see hear about the show again.

Yea but usually they call it a pilot. This time they called it a 2 hour movie event. So I was expecting more. If it was a pilot I think I would have liked it more. Something about it being a set up instead of an "all in", I think I would have viewed it differently.

I hear what you are saying. I think more then anything else, it was a Ford Commercial. All ford vehicles in the show and then all ford commercials. Kind of lame. Almost like a salesman that comes on to strong. Its like, I realize they have a job to do and advertise but back the fuck up a little bit. lol.

So I watched the series premiere tonight (the second episode really though) and it was ok. It still seems like they are setting things up, but they are doing it a little slow. I also think they used a lot of transformers effects for KITT. I like watching it and all, but it does seem slightly cheesy. He has two different car modes and a truck mode so far.

Knight Rider may not be the greatest show, but don't be surprised when you start hearing people use Knight Rider catch phrases. It's one of those shows that I will watch if it's on, but I won't be upset if it gets canceled.
